At a dinner party, to Madame Chretien:

"Your husband has been such a prominent public figure, such a presence on the international scene for so many years! How quiet retirement will seem in comparison. What are you most looking forward to in these retirement years?"

"A penis," replied Madame Chretien.

A hush fell over the table. Everyone heard her answer... and no one knew what to say next.

Le Grand Jean leaned over to his wife and said, "Aline, in Hinglish dey pronounce dat word, "Appiness"

thank you for the complete review... I remember some of it from an article in readers digest many years ago.. Mentioned once or twice to some folks who didn't believe me and then to a friend who served in ww2.. He knew quite a bit about it.
I had a cousin on guard duty (prior to be shipped over in ww2) on the East Coast of Maine who used to patrol the beaches.. He told me German subs would come up and drop off soldiers. Later , served in battle of Bulge. He worked with a forward observer and came up over a hill and never saw so many bodies etc.
