I agree; I haven't said they have no right to protest.

I just don't feel that you can "protest the war" and at the same time "support the troops". The troops are integral to the war. They've made the decision to enlist, go and fight our nation's wars, kill people and blow things up as required. To the extent war protestors are against these things, even in the face of a righteous cause, I don't feel they can "support the troops" in a meaningful way.

It is a cheap phrase used by people who want to have it both ways. Hanoi Jane herself could have said, "I'm against the war but I support the troops". I'm not sure what kind of logic that translates to.

Yes, it is wrong for Ted to disparage the troops, because he is against the war, if that is what he did.

That's not what I did. Ray is getting down and dirty again.
