1) there are other cutthoat dictators in the world who bring great anguish to their people.

That is only one of the aspects that I was talking about.

That's the big argument now since finding major caches of WMD is looking less likely.

I don't consider it at all unlikely.

Secondly, what does it matter; if they are bad, why stop with the one? What's to prevent from going after one country after another? Is that what you support?

No. As I said there was a rather unique combination of factors in Iraq. If we could take down North Korea's regime as easily with the same relative lack of danger that we have had while causeing the Baathist regime to crumble then I might support that but we can't so I don't. I can't think of any other country where I would support using the US military to cause regime change.

What happens if we don't find major stores of WMD? Were Blair and Bush lying like Hitler lied to his poeple?

I think that is unlikely. We might have even found some already. But even if we don't find some that doesn't mean they aren't there (although it would probably mean there are less of them then we thought), and even if they are not there (something I consider to have an only slightly greater then 0% chance) it doesn't mean that Bush and Blair where liars but rather that they where mistaken. But even without the WMD issue I think more good has been done by removing Saddam and his party then the harm done by the invasion.

And for what crime........because they got a 'speeding ticket' or the equivalent?

No. Refusing to cooperate with the inspectors for years. Shooting at American aircraft. Massive human rights abuses within the country. And just a long record of bad behavior. Its like some states "three strikes" laws. The third strike doesn't have to be as bad as the first two.

If there are no major stores of WMD found, it was working.

I think we will find the evidence of them, but even smaller stores were violations and also not being found does not equal not existing.

You seem to think that since we have not found them in a few weeks with soldier who are mainly conserned with defeating the enemy not with searching down WMD evidence that we won't find WMD. I disagree.
