Shoot, even Gore was going to cut taxes. Was Gore foolish as well?

Keeping more money tied up in the government is not a way to boost an economy anyway. It sounds like you're trying hard to argue it is.

One of the better ways to keep it from sliding further in to the dumper is to cut taxes.

I do think that Bush has done a poor job of controling spending however and I think he should get some blame for that but I don't think Gore or Clinton would have done any better under the circumstances.
