Was this a war just to steal the November election and payback for Poppy? With a buncha oil for the Texas boys in the bargain? So far, we've seen Saddam is a creep but no better or worse than a lot of other dictators. And - ouch - no WMD's. I have a feeling Bushies are going to have a very hard time backing up their claim Saddam was any kind of imminent threat to anyone but some of his people. I still think they will find something in the WMD, but probably not much. Probably a lot than they would find in any former Soviet country.
