some brief virus scanner stats for anyone interested...

when i run a full system scan with Norton, on two partitions combined , a total of about 106,000 files are checked

when i run the same scan with Kaspersky a total of 158,000 files are checked

both AVs have very similar virus database counts, roughly around 66,000 threats
