If you want to nitpick be my guest.

The offensive did indeed stall and this was disclosed by our media a few days later. So the facts are clearly accurate. The "spin" may be inaccurate and may have been wishful thinking. Our media and the Pentagon had built up the expectation that on Day 1, we would have crowds cheering us in the South and particularly in Basra, and we would have mass surrenders. Rumsfeld stated all the Iraqi generals were in surrender negotiations. We came in for a rude shock at al Nassrya. "Our spin on events" has also been wrong several times.
