<<<Yeates is saying that things are so bad that the world is falling apart. There is just lawlessness everywhere and no longer any innocence. The supposedly "good" couldn't care less and the "bad" are passionate about their desires. He suggests that the situation is so serious that, after the last Coming 20 centuries ago, there could even be another. Only this time it will be a beast.>>

A very pessimistic view of mankind. I am much more of an optimist. I believe that there are good and bad people and I believe (IMHO) that the US is one of the good people. They have done wrong at times, no question. But overall what country can you name that has been as generous with with their resources and yes, even their power as the US. We could have dominated the world many times over but instead we implemented the Marshall Plan, gave the Philippines independence, saved the ass of Europe from Hitler, gave Japan the makings of a democracy, encouraged the demise of apartheid in SA, prevented Stalin from taking over the world, prevented the takeover of the Saudis, helped in catastrophes all over the world with money and supplies--need I go on? We even gave back the Panama Canal, which I think was a big mistake. Is there another country with environmental laws as strict as the US? The only other country that I can think of that comes close is Great Britain.
Question: What country in the world are most people trying to emigrate ?
