(Idea is a story of struggle and little intellectual worries of my life.. A cry of a rejected author!!
Dear ---ifa, I take your email of today with little tongue in cheek remarks,
The following articles were timely and represented a view that is different not in currency in my country, I put my neck on line but three were neglected by your editorial board, whereas 300,000 people read them in last few weeks online Iranian.. My forecasts and predictions if you care to read are more in line with realties on ground than 'wishes' we have in Islamic world.

'Ghar ke murghi dal barabar,' this is the way you treat my thoughts...it is sad...some comments that I received today I am forwarding you. I send you my articles because I love 'my'(no pun intended God forbid on your authority or editorial discretion please don’t make it an issue since this is a cry of a rejected author not a shareholder or Director) paper.
I do look for respect and that respect means ‘rejection’ if you don’t intend to print should be notified, that is my only request, on my last three article even this small request of mine was turned down, even a rejection is too much and was not send. By the way the size of all these articles was as per editorial guidelines.
I have some views on world and not lot of wishes, I see lot of wishes being presented and very little factual things the way we will see in Iraq. Baghdad will fall and like Basra people will love it, some views expressed nowadays are as far from reality as Sahhaf the 'disinof Minister of Iraq' is from truth. If people welcome USA in Baghdad like they did in Basra, Sakkar, and Karbela after these thugs are under some faces will have a lot of egg. Long live Free Iraq and Iraqi persecuted people.. My hearts go out for them. Free views can be suppressed but reality emerges hard and fast, Iraqi freedom will bring and usher a new era in the Middle East, we Pakistanis can sit and have a pan- Islamic and sympathy with tyrant like Saddam but Iraqis under Saddam did not have the luxury of opposing Saddam as we do with Mush and they were regularly hanged by their tongues so that those things should not be used..
best regards,
your friend Ike..

Hello Iqbal
Thank you for a good article putting things in perspective. It is amazing how easily people forget who Saddam is and what atrocities his regime has brought about. Everybody I have spoken to who supports "peace" did nothing to avert this war, or say anything against the totalitarianism, dictatorship and authoritarianism of the Baath party. They prefer to do nothing and just any event, short of war, take place. In their thinking so long as there is no war, all is fine, even tyranny and oppression. Arabs of course have a blind eye: anything Arab is good, even the most destructive regimes that start wars, invade neighbors, annex neighbors, oppress populations and destroy institutions and healthy evolutions.
Thanks Hamid from Iran

Ike,
You're right, that war was probably the only way to replace Saddam's regime, and seams to be as clean as possible for the time being. I hope that allies will give back power to iraqi democrats as soon as possible and will not keep oil benefits for them but for iraqi people.

Iqbal, this is a great article! I have made copies of this and I am shoving it into the face of many of my anti-American chat and pannis. You were right on the dot with your predictions. The new slogan (nara) in Baghdad is 'stay, stay, U.S.A.)! Way to go.
Love, Riaz

Ilatif,
I agree with everything you said in your article. We are appalled by the Arab world who carry Saddam's picture around, openly siding with the most vicious oppressor of Arabs in modern times against us. They have sunk to their lowest level. The lies, propaganda and ignorance in that part of the world is beyond anyone's comprehension, and I don't see it reversing course anytime soon. It's more likely that Arabs will quickly begin spreading their lies in Iraq and turn the people there against us in a very short time. Bush is betting that he can set up a democracy there that will be the catalyst for reform in the Arab world. I hope he's right, but it's going to be a long, long struggle.

Dear Iqbal, You are speaking some hard truth which most of the people avoid. We live in a world where black is black and white is white. No illusions and impractical approach can resolve our problems.
Good going, on both occasions.

Dear Mr. Latif: What an excellent article. I think this should be disseminated more widely than so much of the shallow trash that we are reading about Iraq. I agree that this may be the first real break that this sad country has had in centuries. Thank you.
