women in iraq were better off than many muslim countries... certainly iran and perhaps Syria. At least in iraq you could educate your daughters.

I know it's hard for some of you knucklehead conservatives to see beyond the end of your nose and try to understand how things really work in other societies. But, as dreadful as some dictators are, whether leftwing or rightwing or insane like Saddam, there is always a segment of society that lives the good life under their reign or else they wouldn't stay in power for long. I'm not trying to jusdtify it. It's just the way the world works.
