JF, <What about the ~100 dead American kids and their families and friends (so far), the 1000's of dead innocent civilians and their families. Is it "lucky" for them that the "justification" for the war was BS?>

I'm sure the millions of Iraqi citizens now free will mourn the thousands of their dead comrades, but will consider their new freedom well worth the price.

As for the hundred or so American lives lost, not to mention billions of dollars spent, I'll be honest. It's hard for me to argue that the threat from Iraqi WMDs was great enough for such a price. But we do know what the price was for 9/11 itself, and I'd argue that the possibility of another 9/11 just decreased significantly.

Yeah yeah, I'm more likely to be killed by a drunk driver than a terrorist. But that doesn't make the act of terrorism any less horrifying.

I think its less then 100 American soldiers dead and more likely hundreds instead of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians killed.
