Actually, Ian Anderson (front man for Tull) made an album
with the London Symphony Orchestra..... all variations of
Tull songs. It was very good. He wrote a symphony as well,
but I'm not familiar with it. His dad ran a hotel I believe.

Ian was mostly self trained in the flute, guitar & writing
music. Only in his later years did he get some professional
training. Some artists just have that innate ability to
create without formal training. His passion for writing
complex music & deep thinking lyrics seems to have come
naturally.

Don't get me started. I will ramble on & on about Tull.
