Ted, <the statement he made the next day strongly reaffirmed his original statement.>

Thanks, Ted. Everything about Kerry suggests to me a career politician with a very greasy character. Not unlike a used-car salesman.

If he is the best hope for the Dems in 2004, then Bush has little to worry about.

Kerry will never back down from chickenhawk Bushies.
I have personally spoken with him one on one about the difference between his courageous record and all the military wannabe pretenders in the White House. He is humble about it, but agreed it definitely gives him the high ground. He has been there and done it. He had led, bled and killed. Those Bushies never have. Never came close. Avoided it. Ran away from it. If Bush wants to make war his #1 and only issue he had better hope John Kerry isn't running against him. John Kerry will also unify America. He has the power. Once Bushies get off their partisan oparanoia many of them will coem to love and respect JF Kerry. And they will amazed how bi-partisan he is. Afterall, he works closely with McCain on many top issues. He may even run with McCain.
