KyrosL,

Do you think we will behave differently in Iraq, if there is a popular revolt?

Absolutely and we already have. There has been no carpet bombing, no call for it and no one promoting it.

This type of argument falls in the 'have you stopped beating your wife category'.

I am surprised at this 'return to Vietnam' syndrome style argument.

John

Vietnam B-52 carpet bombing, free fire zones, and agent orange...
Do you think we will behave differently in Iraq

Everyone wants desperately to get a good Vietnam comparison...Sorry but it don't compute.

We have done no carpet bombing.

Using agent orange in a desert environment is ridiculous.

Free fire zones and restricted fire zones are military terms that apply to every conflict and every battle in different ways. Our forces have free fire zones and restricted fire zones in Iraq everyday.
