Hi kumar:
You're right here. But, they could have just not sided with France and Russia.
KLP:Couldn't Germany abstain?
k_r:If u recollect, there was no resolution put to a vote.

Well, kumar, we certainly don't have the answer, but I'm pretty sure that things will change when this is over. Certainly, the US won't have reason to be so naive anymore.

KLP:I don't know how long the contract is for,

k_r:If u think this is 'contractual duties for which someone is being paid', I can never convince you that this is what they can do within constraints.

Gave this some serious thought, and yes, I've certainly disagreed with a friend, and sometimes family as well....but I can't honestly think of a case where I have lost the friendship... However, my husband has had that happen. So yes, I can believe that happens to countries. I just hope it doesn't happen permanently between the US and Germany.

k_r:BTW, In your life, have you never disagreed with a friend of yours ? And in cases of disagreement, have you lost the friendship ? Same thing happens between countries.
