We did what we had to do.

Enigma. You said....." yes they're coming out now I have to admit - so the end justifies the means? ".....

IMO. Yes. And it is unfortunate that we can't ask that question of Iraqi's citizens that may have lived through sadams torture chambers. I did hear one comment on news from an iraqi man injured by friendly fire who said he was not angry at US forces as he understood it was an accident and the removal of sadam was more important. Not exact words but along those lines.

I think it was justified just by the scenes of the children being released from the kiddie jail. Toddlers in jail? Who could have imagined that. But the liberation is well worth it. Iraqi people used to be on very good terms with the US, I think you will see how much it was worth it in the near future.

<< so the end justifies the means? >>

If you had your way, the Iraqi people would still be oppressed by Saddam, being tortured every day, having their tongues cut out if they spoke against Saddam, their children being starved, WMD being developed which could target other countries, including America.

If you had won, would the end have justified the means?
