Bulls rise to 51.1% and Bears fall to 31.1% in latest Newsletter Writer's Market Opinion Poll. One of the widest gaps since last April and not a bullish signal for the market imho.

schaeffersresearch.com

We normally view a bullish percentage higher than 55 combined with a bearish reading lower 30% as bearish for the market. On the other hand, overwhelming investor pessimism is reflected in Investors Intelligence bearish readings that are in excess of 55%, which normally translates into bullish market conditions.

OT OT OT reply to Bob and Cary

Bob: beware of unbridled optimism. But it's such a great feeling. Seeing natives topple the statue was heart warming. :)

Cary: >Remember our last "occupation" in that part of the world, in Lebanon?< I think there won't be a repeat. This administration has the will to win regardless of casualties and won't be swayed. I say this as one who did not vote for them and who hopes they lose in 2004.

Intraday bpNDX still 57%

I agree that it is difficult.

I believe the genius of the plan is yet to unfold.

The long term installation of federalism and free markets when presented to an oppressed people will "IN GENERAL" be loved and embraced.

That's not to say hatred from those who lost power won't exist. It Will.

But Cary, you have to rely on the power of liberated people. Those who've had no future now can benefit from their own efforts and ambition.

In Texas, our gulf coast shrimper fleet has been all but replaced by VietNamese who were transplanted in the U.S..

They are the most ambitious hard working prosperous people around. They've found opportunity in the absence of any.

IT WILL BE POWERFUL and no doubt scary to the surrounding kingdoms that rely on power being retained to the members of the lucky sperm club.

This will make Iraq a national power and country of huge prosperity.

It is a long term plan and it is / will be powerful - if done properly.

This is a great moment that provides a hint of a bright future - albeit one with many hurdles and set backs.
