[<<and they need to attack>>] It's easier to think that way when you've formed a mental construct that has labelled people as being a certain way... be it broad like "evil, greedy, ignorant" or more specialized like "Muslim fundamentalist, terrorist, etc." Or even 'those using the oil weapon against me". In that way you have "dehumanized" the other. Any action on your part can now probably be intellectually justified in some way. The argument becomes how and why, in what way, how hard, when.... etc. Everyone can then get sucked into the debate and analyze it to death. In a way, the very process of labeling, categorizing, & separating others from yourself is an act of violence. DAK
