zonder, I normally don't agree with your politics, but you're right about the missionaries. Too politically explosive an issue and the backlash would destroy what the US hopes to accomplish now. That article said 25,000 missionaries are "ready to go" but hopefully they won't be let in. The Pentagon has issued orders not even to display the American flag - it was on the now downed statue of Sadaam but quickly ordered to be taken down so as not to offend - and they should stop the missionaries too.
