Dont take your freedom to vote for granted. As a black man on Bill Maher's show said last night, "Saddam didn't take away my vote in Florida". That may strike you as a un-American remark but it's fundamentally American. If the Bushies had their way we would not be allowed fair debate, free press, any dissent, any balance, any differing opinions. Bush's strategy is clear. Wrap himself in the flag and keep us in a constant state of "war" though no state has attacked us and we haven't even had a major terrorist attack since 9-11.

Kerry is all about safety for Americans. But what about economic safety? Health care safety? Educational and environmetnal safety? These are far greater threats to our lives than Saddam Hussein ever was or could be. Yet Bush has focused 100% on Saddam for 9 months and almost zero on the mot important issues. Can Bush fix them now that the war is over? Not likely because when you get right down to it he doesn't WANT the war to end. If he lets wars end he will hace to run on the worst economic record since Herbert Hoover, and too late to blame it on Clinton. That's really a weak argument.

Ask yourself this. If we need to fight all these Bush wars, Syria and Iran next maybe, who should pay for them? Let the rich off with mammoth tax cuts? Stick it to the middleclass and the states? Let local taxes sky-rocket just to keep schools and hospital open? Where does it end? And what is the engame? A democratic Arab world? Not likely.

Keep your eyes and ears open and look past the Bushie flag-waving. When you do you're see the real safety our nation severely eroded.
