They do. The point is that, things are engineered from the top. Just like this war against Iraq was engineered from the top and will keep people from thinking about things that actually effect their lives, like the economy and healthcare. Would you care about Iraq if the U.S. government didn't? I don't think so. Your feelings about Iraq come from the fact that our government has focused on it for over a decade. What if we just let Saddam occupy Kuwait 13 years ago and he didn't make any more noise. We certainly have stood by as other countries were invaded, like East Timor and Tibet. Who the hell would care about Saddam Huessein? The Republicans know how to use propaganda to ensure that people will continue to vote for them and keep them in power. How about all of those terrorist warnings that came to naught? Scared the hell out of people and kept them from questioning what the government is doing.
