Baghdad has fallen.
Iraq is liberated.
Chemical warheads found.
President Bush was right.
This war is coming to an end.
By mid-summer our troops will return home.
UN Humanitarian supplies found throughout Saddam's palace. The people of Iraq are looting the palaces and reclaiming what rightfully belonged to them. The Iraqi people are dancing in the streets next to U.S. tanks. The Iraqi flag flies proudly in Baghdad once again after 4 decades of oppression.

American troops performed a carefully orchestrated surgical and highly targeted action, with likely the most minimal collateral damage of any conflict of this scale in history. It is now crystal clear to the world that America did not go to Iraq to occupy it or to colonize it, but rather to liberate it (despite how Al-Jazeer TV tries to skew the message).

There is a tough road ahead in helping Iraq to place its own government into power. . .and in helping to clean up the cities and place hospitals, schools and government buildings back to serving the people of Iraq.

There will continue to be loyalists that will put up some resistance and will never see value in our presence there. But as fears of American aggression are relieved, and the truth about our presence is realized, the Iraqis and other Arab common people will thank us for coming there to help them. There will certainly be a few highly vocal "officials" who will continue to criticize us. That is unavoidable. And of course the Minister of Information in Baghdad is still saying that, "American tanks are not in Baghdad. It is just a Hollywood movie trick."

All in all. . . . it was the right thing to do. . .

I am extremely proud of our fearless soldiers there, busting with pride in our country and our flag.

I am proud of our president and our executive and military leaders who, in the face of criticism, acted on the courage of their convictions and were very successful in achieving their goals.

And finally, I am extraordinarily proud of my country. . . which clearly represents to all the world: liberty and justice for all.
