<There exists something in the human spirit that is profoundly effected by victory of good over evil.>

The spirit exists in every human.

<It is gratifying for me to see the Iraqi people cheer this victory>

Yes, and hopefully once it becomes clear that Sadaam won't be back, more will come out and rejoice.

There exists something in the human spirit that is profoundly effected by victory of good over evil. I agree.
Also wonderful to see the worst fears have not been realised although many doubted that there would be any WMD used (myself and I would bet the US administration also included)

Let's see how part two goes which my earlier postings show is my concern. Let's see how much has been learned from history.

I'm very happy with the overthrow of the Saddam Hussein Ba'ath regime in Iraq. The final collapse in Baghdad happened a little faster than I expected but it was always expected.

I'm less happy about how the US pissed off a lot of its allies and not yet allies. I preferred Bush 41 very much to Bush 43. I am apprehensive about the final outcome down the road in a few years time in Iraq. I also like to cut through the media BS and understand what is really happening. I am also sad for the thousands of ordinary Iraqi soldiers likely killed who had no choice but be in the Iraqi army (it is hard to surrender when you are being bombed by B52s) and Iraqi civilians lost.
