Clinton closed all the air bases in close proximity to the WTC. The interceptors had to come out of Otis AFB and got there just in time for the second hit. Clinton is a war criminal.

Democracy costs trillions to defend, and defending democracy around the world is what America does. It is what America will continue to do long after you and I are gone, so no sense in whining about that. I have noticed a very obvious trend here on SI since I've been reading. Liberals constantly complain about the costs America spends on defense. I have also come to the conclusion that the reasons liberals hate this war so much are two fold. 1. The money being spent on this war could have been spent on their pet social programs. 2. The soldiers employed by the US will eventually leave the service to go on and take advantage of the perks they were promised as a result of their service. Many of them will go on to retire from the military and collect pensions. I believe that you and most liberals resent that that money will go to them rather than what they perceive as more worthy programs. In other words the money it takes to defend our country and democracy isn't available to the socialists, who have planned and planned on how to otherwise spend it, were seriously destroyed as a result of the war on terrorism. I am not even going to address your "whatever, who cares" comment because to do so would give it credibility, and it is just so ridiculous. Although certainly a typical attempt at liberal argument. What speaks volumes is your total lack of understanding of the events that took place on 9/11 and your disgust at the way our brave President has decided to deal with it. You will forthwith and forever be labeled a "Soreloserman." M
