France killed the UN.

Bush will go down in history as a hero.
Just ask any liberated Iraqi...

bush did not kill the u.n.

the u.n simply exposed itself for the ineffectual debating society it was when put to it's own test.

that test would be resolution 1441

apparently the u.n. totally, idiotically miscalculated the resolve of the brits and the americans when it came to holding the regime in iraq to it's legal responsibilities...which date all the back to the conditions accepted by signatories of the original gulf war armistice

<< yeah and the majority of US citizens are glad that Bush killed the UN. >>

The UN never really lived, how can it be killed?

Do you know what the UN is? It is made up of most of the countries of the world. It has a lot of brutal dictators and corrupt or backward leaders for it's members.

The UN will survive, as a humanitarian association and as a place for nations to communicate. In some small situations, it will continue peace keeping operations.

But you need to look at how badly the UN has done in Gaza, where it is responsible for Gaza having more terrorist groups than any other place on earth.

The only way for the UN to survive as a significant force is for it to follow the lead of the US.
