Well I'm happy to hear that Donald Rumsfeld is taking on the military establishment and trying to weed out the waste. I did read about that and I heard he's having a hard time getting anywhere with it. Hardend establishments like the defense establishment are hard to challenge. I would think conservatives would be very concerned about all the money that is wasted at the Pentagon. I thought conservatives mistrusted government and hate government spending. Seems like they do, except for wasteful military spending. I've read articles that stated that 1/4 of the Pentagon's budget can't be accounted for each year. A lot of money could be saved if we spent our military dollars more rationally and had much better accounting for those dollars. Such is life....
