I cheered when Napoleon was defeated at Waterloo Ironically, Napoleon did an enormous amount for the US (unintentionally, of course). He owe him an enormous debt. He sold us the Louisiana Purchase. It doubled the size of our country. He became such a threat to Western Europe that in 1814, the British had to withdraw from their invasion is the US (i.e. the War of 1812). Which is a good thing cuz the British were kickin our butts !! Ain't history strange ? Chris
