Is it? That's like saying psychics, ghosts, or UFOs are pure bunk, just because the prevailing view in society tells you that they can't possibly be real. When ones own personal experiences might tell one differently. Certainly, the "powers that be" in the U.S. aren't above using methods of population control to achieve their objectives. They've done so in the past. Like when the Reagan Administration sent operatives to the major TV networks to try to get them to tone down their coverage of the civil wars in Central America during the 1980s. So, as not to let the public become too aware of what was going on with our allies in Central America and question why we were funding them.
