By the same logic, we never should have gone to war with Germany or Japan, or to free Kuwait, because I'm sure there were at least a few innocents killed in the process. Your logic sucks, as does the reality of war, but the alternative is torture chambers, rape, oppression, and life-long despair, not the Kumbaya-lets hold hands-Coca Cola commercial you seem to think it is...

War is hell. Just as living under Saddam was hell. Perhaps someday we'll see the videos and pictures of the folks who lost their tongues thanks to SH, of the women who were raped and mutilated, of the children confined in SH's jails, of the children tortured by SH's goons in front of their parents,etc.

A couple of gruesome pictures will never do justice to the hell that is war nor will they do accurately potray the hell that SH imposed on his people. In order to think clearly about the issues, it is unfortunately necessary to be a bit cold-blooded and clinical about the horrors that we are dealing with.
