Yes, Bush toppled the statue. And his father drove Saddam out of Kuwait. Now the two generations of Bushes can rest knowing they've finally taken out Saddam. This is Bush's zenith, right here, right now. He may not have his father's 89% approivals, but maybe 75% today. But as we know, wars like this quickly recede into the past. Who even thinks about Afghanistan anymore except the people directly involved with it? Bush will run in 2004 on his two wars. Those are his legitimate accomplishments. The real question is, what else has he accomplished? What price have we paid for victory? And what has he ignored while he was obsessing for 9 months on Saddam Hussein?
