Russia is far more complex now than our left wing media will ever understand. Putin may have REQUESTED an attack on that column.

Another advantage Bush has over any other potential president is that Condelezza Rice is one of a tiny handful of Americans who understands post-Soviet Russia thoroughly.

My prediction remains:

I would look for France to get penalized (but only near-term) for Chirc's sins. Far less, but some, for Schroeder. Russia/US will be a different kettle of fish...

The Russians are chess players. Bush and Rice are chess players. Few other Americans are. The future of Russia/US should be of great interest to any intelligent American. That, of course, EXCLUDES the contemporary left, and especially their fading lap dog media...
