huh? where did that come from. i do not support nor like saddam. if you look at my posting history, you'll see that my problem is with america's double-standards.

btw: don't let all the talk about "Democracy" in iraq fool you. america only wants democracy in other countries when those democracies vote pro-USA. iran had a democracy, but it wasn't pro-US (nor pro-UK, who stood to lose their ownership of iran's oil) so our CIA went in there, toppled the elected government and put in the Shah (ie, "dictator," and an incredibly brutal one at that--we helped with the brutality too, cuz those damn iranians kept fighting for their freedom against the dictatorship, so their resistance had to be squashed). similar story in Chile, we orchestrated a coup to overthrow the democratic government and installed in a dictator.

I hope all this history isn't news to the readers of this board, alas, i'm sure it is.

don't get confused by the propaganda. the USA first and foremost acts to further its owns interests. the fact that gulf war II is going to leave iraqi with a less brutal government is simply a happy effect. it was not the cause.
