What are you poverty figures in Brasil and what defines them. Here it starts at few to no luxuries. Bear in mind we have universal health care.

I do know that many people from other parts of the world would love to come and live in the relative luxury of the Canadian poverty line. I consider myself very lucky all my antecedents of various ethnicities came here so that I happen now to exist where I do..:o)

Brazil is the only example of a success for western civilisation in the tropics (look at the mess that Britain, France, Germany and Portugal made in Africa Brasil doesn't suffer from the tribalism of Africa. A similar problem as in the middle and near east..
Yes here I think your homogeneous paid off.

Do the tropics give you a disadvantage over our friggin' cold ?
