Hi John... I just returned (Monday) from a week in Las Vegas. Interesting stuff. I have a 5 foot wide sign on the rear of my van that says "This Canadian is proud to call the USA Friend". The word Canadian is overlaid on a Canadian flag and the USA on a US flag. One evening (after overindulging at the buffet at the Sunset Station) I returned to my van to find a Keno card under the wiper with the word "Thanks for Supporting our country" written on the back. Another time at the souvenir shop at Stove pipe Wells in Death Valley, I overheard some people talking about the poor treatment of the US hockey players when they visited Canada. None of the conversationalists said anything bad about Canada, but they seemed unable to understand what makes some canadians act in such poor taste......one fellow summed it up pretty well when he said that he doesn't think all canadians are like that, it's mostly the french ones. On the way home I drove up 395 north thru the Sierra Nevadas to Tahoe. Passed a radar cop in a 65 zone while driving near to 85. I watched in the mirror and sure as hell he pulled out after me. I slowed down and he caught me, followed me for a half mile or so, then pulled up beside me, gave me a big grin and a wave, passed and kept on going. All in all (and I spend a lot of time in the US) I have never been treated as poorly by an American as I see a lot of Canadians treating them. BTW, I brought back ALMOST as much money from Vegas as I took down there LOL
