I'm surprised at that particular incident, but I've certainly encountered situations that people were challenged to accommodate. I had a job in an office once where there were Iranians who had got out ahead of the revolution. They had to wash their feet and hands before they could pray, so would sit on the counter in the men's room and put their feet in the sinks. Some of their co-workers were uncomfortable with that, and with the distraction of having the prayer rugs spread out on the floor of the cubicle toward the east twice a day. Efforts were made to provide a more private and dignified arrangement.
