Both right and left looked the other way to prolong that war with our enemy Iran.

<<<The right hardly has a moral leg to stand on when it comes to our dealings with Iraq.>>>

I agree with most of your points, but I would suggest it's more a matter of the US government doesn't have a moral leg to stand on when it comes to the Middle East, rather than a matter of right or left. For all practical purposes the US doesn't have a Middle Eastern policy. Our ME policy is dictated to us by Israel and the usual screw ups as a result is about what anyone with half a brain could expect under the circumstances.

An Israeli soldier uses a bulldozer to crush a US citizen to death who was protesting atrocities that make Saddam look like a boy scout, but little George doesn't even offer Israel a harsh word to say that sort of behavior is not okay. Bush has repeatedly stated he doesn't give a rip about what any American citizen exercising their right to redress grievances to government has to say.

It's starting to look like the protesters who are willing to stand shoulder to shoulder under fire to protect the ideals our country was founded on may be the only patriots left in America. If the Zionist extremists who have taken over Internet message boards in recent months want to fight for Israel, that's fine with me, but America is my home and it's the only country I'm willing to fight for.
