It sounds like you've confused "good" legislation with "reported out" legislation. Congress is a corrupt and ineffective institution, passing legislation at the behest of corp lobbyists and the administration that is rapdly destroying the American way of life. Just making deals with the devil and exchanging campaign contributions for getting legislation reported out of committee or into law doesn't qualify the writer as a benefit to the American people, but more of a menace. W ith the lockstep goon squad in Washington, just getting the issues into the public dialog is a major accomplishment, requiring intelligence and personal courage.
