Yes, there are various possible future scenarios for Iraq. However, very, very regrettably, in my humble opinion the odds are exceedingly low this U.S. administration (who are not by any stretch of the imagination "good guys") will keep its promises to the Iraqi people. In fact, it already seems they've shifted their focus from reconstructing Iraq to sabre-rattling against Syria and Iran (not to mention further patriotic tax cuts for the wealthy).
By the way, not to be completely OT, my pessimism extends to the stock market as well. I've dumped a large percentage of my portfolio (including most of my favorite biotechs), with KDUS being my only major holding I've retained in full. With a punk economy, humongous budget deficits and vengeful acts of terrorism on U.S. soil almost inevitable, I can't come up with a plausible bullish case.
