>> The Bible as a historical reference, clearly states the Jewish have a claim to the land. <<

the claim to the land was always conditional.

If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
...And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
and among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
--Deuteronomy 28

If you and your children revolting shall turn away from following me, I will take away Israel from the face of the land which I have given them. And the temple which I have sanctified to my name I will cast out of my sight. And Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all the people. And this house shall be made an example of. --1 Kings 9:6

>> The Jewish got the smallest piece. <<

by what right were the jews entitled to any of it?

>> You are implying they should give it all up <<

i never implied anything of the sort. never have i advocated the elimination of israel.

>> Your argument was used by many to promote the genocides of the Jewish people. <<

demonstrating a better understanding of the bible does not translate into advocating genocide of the jewish people. sounds to me like you are exhibiting a touch of jewish paranoia. even if a similar argument was misused to promote a genocidal agenda in the past, that doesn't render the argument invalid.

>> Mostly importantly the Jewish people feel they have been given a promised land <<

hitler and the nazis "felt" that the german nation should be judenrein. their feelings were not valid but jewish people's "feelings" somehow are?

>> Your side should accept it and learn to compromise, <<

what exactly do you mean by my "side"?

>> ...because you will lose otherwise. <<

it seems to me that the jewish people have always seemed to come out the losers. maybe this should provide an impetus for them to re-examine their belief system.
