My point was that there have been plenty of US led invasions that we view as morally correct and preferable to "diplomacy". Nothing silly or dishonest about the Germany example, or Korea, or Panama, or Grenada. Fans of diplomacy over war should be able to argue their case if they think "diplomacy" was preferable to any of those invasions. When Sadaam attacked Iran, we backed him. When he invaded Kuwait, we led a coalition to oust him. We decimated his military in the process of the war and with the following sanctions and inspections. Yeah, so? The loser earned the worldwide hatred of his regime, we didn't force it upon him. There is no comparison between Nazi Germany and Iraq. Just as an example of where an invasion was morally correct and benefited the world, that's all. And then there's the Soviet Union whom we contained and engaged in diplomacy with for decades. Well you only want to go to war if you're guaranteed to win, right? The Soviets had a crappy political system, but also some really big guns. Elroy
