You're too simplistic about the French. And you dont know the details of their deals with Iraq. I heard they still have dibs on two of the biggest oilfields there and they're going to get to keep the deal. Also, Iraq owes money to all kind of people, and a lot more to the Kuwaitis and Saudis than any of the Euros or Russia. Iraq's two biggestd ebts are to the Kuwaitis and to multi-national corporations, some of them our own. As for the French "hating" America, just not true. However they do not like Bush, that's clear. This started when Bush first visited Europe and they feel he poked them in the eye, Germany too. Not a good way to make friends. Bush is partly to blame for the riff with the French, make no mistake there.
