Thursday's move with 300M+ volume confirmed an uptrend. Friday's volume in excess of 1MM with 41 cents move confirms a possible break out of the 52-week high. We have about a month for the last qtr conf call. VP Finance gave a guidance on revenue exceeding $1MM for the qtr, mainly from the N-Charge sales.
The recent Best Buy news will give some boost to N-Charge sales. We are waiting for some more news on the large-format battery and the backup power module.
(1) Tyco Electronics - backup power for telecoms
(2) EVI Indiana - possible use of VLNC battery module for all types of electric vehicles run by EVI
(3) Chinese govt approval of FengFan-VLNC battery production.
(4) Possible news from OEM's on notebook and tablet PC.
(5) news about the large utility using the backup power
The USABC testing of VLNC for hybrid EV by Detroit may not be complete until Fall 2003 per Stephan. There is a potential of a lot of news and progress of VLNC battery business. Recent price and volume actions speak to that potential. Shares accumulated in the range $0.60-$1.65 are turning over a few times as new buyers are stepping in. jmo. Ram
