tejek,

re:1. The fukking cost......wars are expensive

Hard to argue against facts.

re:2. I felt the weapons inspectors were doing their job if only Bush would have shutup for two seconds

More people in the USA believed they weren't and the French would not not let a Security Council vote happen. The truth of that assumption will be learned over the coming days.

re:3. I didn't like setting the precedent of a pre emptive strike on another nation. Violating a nation's sovereignty can have untold repercussions. Strangely enough, that's a concern very dear to the Right when it comes to our sovereignty but apparently it ends there.......there is no concern re another nation's.

Other nations sovereignty has always been a big issue with the USA, until that nation is viewed as a threat - after 911 Saddam's regime was elevated in that regard. Whether you buy into the threat is your issue, but most Americans did.

PS: I'm, waiting for WMD's.

Ted, we've said enough about your other debatable points, so I'll just bring up the following:

<I didn't like setting the precedent of a pre emptive strike on another nation.>

This too makes me somewhat uneasy. If we pre-emptively strike another nation, we better be damn sure that nation posed a threat to our security or that of our allies. If it turns out Saddam didn't have the WMDs that we claim he had, we'll be paying for this one big time.

Ted,

A bit of honesty would be welcome. Liberals are against this war because it was Bush's war, and were for Kosovo war because it was Clinton's war.

But I understand that your desire for ideological purity is higher than honesty.
