The "selective looting" unfortunately includes hospitals.

Some thoughts :

- If one has lived under the tyranny of Saddam for all/most of one's life, hospitals are seen as no different to any other government institution. Therefore "fair game".

- After 30 years of plundering, some in Iraq may see it as reclamation of what was stolen from them.

- Eventually (my guess 1 week), this will stop, because there will be nothing left to loot, and because more comfort in "being free" will come into the awareness of the populace.

- The good news is, that people are not looting each others houses. If that happens, its an ugly situation. Been there, seen that.
