Or, to be fair, just the opposite of that?

How would you describe the several folk on this thread who think of themselves as having views on the right who have put those they disagree with and whom they think of as on the left on ignore?

excellent point, John.

I try to read and think about every post on FADG and I guess it's my hope/goal that everyone who buys into the concept here, would too. Putting people on ignore, now that I think about it, implies that one is not on my team -- sharing my goals for the thread.

Hmm, thanks for bringing this up. I had not thought about it this way.

I'd put them in the same boat as those who could never hear their darling stock could come fall back to earth. Do you remember how badly some people would react to the suggestion that their stock pick was not all they thought it was? I never understood that behavior. It is not as if the real world would change upside down based on what we talk about here. And in reality, anyone who points the contrary is a much better friend to you than those who agree with you because either they show you your mistake, or they help you disprove another aspect and increase your confidence in your position. But what do you gain from those who tell you what you already believe?

That's easy John ... if you place people on ignore ... you pass up a chance to learn.

Of course, I'd imagine volume has a bit to do with it.

Good point John. Are how about those on the
right that post to right oriented groups, but
then come on and endlessly post on groups that
disagree with them - in the hope of drowning
everyone else out?

If you were truly moderate, you'd be accepting of all points of view.
