The cheapest source of hydrogen is from Natural Gas.

If you are against drilling a hole in the ground for oil, I suppose you would be against damming up American Rivers (and destroying wilderness) to produce the electricity needed to convert water or natural gas to hydrogen. And I suppose you would be against destroying thousands of square miles of wilderness (to make room for the huge photovoltaic farms needed), if sunlight is used as the energy source for hydrogen conversion.
