Thanks for the Strafor post ! I would expect that besides cooperating with governments, the US will finds ways to to show a benevolent but not weak side to Muslims in the region. Saying the Iraqis don't have to pay Russia and France is a good start. Moving in way more than enough food to Iraq would also be good. A radical move would be to allow some troops of Regular army or Republican guard, minus there political officers, to keep their personal weapons in return for being policemen and restoring order.
