Understand Bush has made enemies of moderates (slightly to the left like me and slightly to the right like McCain) not just liberals.

When Bush's policies are being held up by the GOP moderates and Democratic conservatives you know he has gone too far to the right to ever come back in time for 2004.

The right-wing talkshows love to attack liberals, all they ever talk about, but not a single state is liberal anymore. This isn't the 70's or even the 80's. Liberals are not who they need to worry about in 2004.

The Democratic nominee will not be a liberal. Kerry, Edwards, Gephardt and Lieberman all are more or less moderate with some conservative ideals as well. Especially fiscal conservatism. I expect it will be Kerry and he will pick someone slightly to the right of himself. That makes a good strong moderate ticket.
