Hamza did know or didn't know?

I saw Hamza on Charlie Rose. He didn't know about the basements.

If this is a post-Hamza nuke weapon development site, game over. The worst case scenario, undetectable nuke development, would be true. Even if there is no fissile material, just a post-Hamza underground nuclear lab would be enough.

Fox is reporting that secondary testing - from an Army field unit with specialized equipment - registered weapons grade plutonium.

Most interesting, if true, as all the (public) intelligence thought that Saddam's nuclear programs were uranium-based.

Oops, sorry. Didn't.

From the article that's been circulating about the find from various outlets:

Noting that the ground in the area is muddy and composed of clay, Hamza was surprised to learn of the Marines' discovery, the Tribune-Review said. He wondered if the Iraqis went to the colossal expense of pumping enough water to build the subterranean complex because no reasonable inspector would think anything might be built underground there.

"Nobody would expect it," Hamza said. "Nobody would think twice about going back there."

Hamza defected in 1994. That means this underground installation was constructed after 1994, if Hamza was unaware of it. Also this from that same piece:

The offices underground are replete with videos and pictures that indicate the complex was built largely over the last four years, the Tribune-Review said

Someone also noted that US satellite photos indicated significant construction at Al Tuwaitha over the past few years. All this indicates to me that these underground facilities were built at Al Tuwaitha in the past few years while the facility was outside UN observation, and was successfully concealed from the recent inspectors. If what CB has written about the probability that the apparent alpha particle radiation indicates highly enriched plutonium.... God only knows what is down there.
