What happens if Israel pulls back to dangerous borders, and if America gets a Democrat administration which decides that coalition backing of Israel is not in America's best interest, or if countries in that coalition decides that Israel should not be defended against terrorism? If you want to go to logical extremes, the only ultimate defense Israel has is to conquer they planet and kill all non-Jews. Frankly, I don't think they can do it. Let's stick with the real, existing world, OK? It took an enormous effort to try and get the world to go along with removing one of the worst and repressive regimes in Iraq, and still, most of the world was against getting rid of Saddam. That's because the approach was wrong. Somewhere along the line someone decided to get that useless debating society, the UN, involved. And just for the record, "the world" never did go along. The US, UK, Australians, Czechs, ... went ahead ans did it anyway. Precvisely what I'm envisioning. This Coalition doesn't ASK UN permission- -assuming the UN continues to exist. It does what has to be done. hat if we find out the China, or Russia, or France, or Saudi Arabia is funding, harboring, training and supporting terrorist movements against the newly, indefensible borders of Israel? Do you think that we would start war against a country like Russia? Suppose Russia or China decides to attack Israel on its own? What then? Same problem, I think. Saudi could be handled. France? You're kidding, right? We'd just let the Israelis rake out France and keep the terrirtory. Maybe they could make a decent country of it. We can't even get the Arafat government to change, and it has been under seige for quite a while. Arafat has never had to stare down the gun barrels of the US, UK, .... all at once. You really think that we can effect changes to any other government? What would happen when the world rose up against coalition regime change? . You mean like it did this time? So what is your cure? Keep the regional wars going until eventually Israel really does lose? It will eventually you know.
